Dhulikhel-Sanga road blacktopping work resumes

June 5, Kavrepalanchok — The Dhulikhel-Sanga road section, which was halted due to a lack of vitamins for some time, has resumed its pitching work. The work being done under the road expansion project was halted midway due to the non-availability of necessary construction materials. Now, after the materials are available, the construction work has been moved forward. When the work was stopped, the vehicles and passengers traveling on the road were facing problems like dust, mud, and traffic jams. Now that the work has resumed, it is expected that the road will be improved soon, according to the construction company, which has set a goal to accelerate the construction and complete it on time, making it easier for passengers to travel. So far, the progress of the Sanga-Dhulikhel section is more than 67 percent. After the deadline expired at the end of last Mangsir, the work was given momentum after the deadline was extended by one year. An agreement was reached on 27th Mangsir 2079 for the expansion of the 8-kilometer Sanga-Dhulikhel road, and the project's deadline was set to expire on 25th Mangsir 2082. Lama Construction had taken a contract for the expansion of the road section for Rs 4 billion 564 million.
