The private sector also needs to change its working style and thinking: Wagley

21 Vaisakh, Kathmandu. Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle has stated that there has been an unprecedented transfer of power in the country's political leadership and now the private sector must also change its working style and thinking. Addressing the inaugural session of the 60th annual general meeting of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Finance Minister Wagle said that a 36-year-old prime minister leading the country and a 50-year-old himself being the 'oldest' member of the cabinet is a sign of major change in the country.

'Had anyone imagined four-five months ago that a 36-year-old prime minister would lead this country with strength? Had anyone imagined that a finance minister who has just crossed 50 would be the oldest member of this cabinet? We used to think that one cannot become a minister, prime minister, or senior leader before the age of 80. This is a big change,' said Finance Minister Wagle.

Finance Minister Wagle also stated that the current government will be more ruthless towards the middleman mentality and corruption prevalent in Nepal's administrative and political system.

He also said that the culture of work being done only on the basis of access and phone calls has now come to an end.
