Prime Minister and ministers to donate one month's salary for flood victims

The Prime Minister and ministers have decided to donate one month's salary and remuneration to help those affected by the floods in the Nepal-China border areas of Rasuwagadhi and Bhotekoshi River.


The Cabinet meeting held at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers at 11 am today decided to deposit one month's salary and remuneration of all members of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers in the Prime Minister's Natural Disaster Relief Fund.


The meeting also directed the Ministry of Finance to prepare a relief and rehabilitation package for individuals and businesses affected by the floods in the districts affected by the floods. Prime Minister Balendra Shah, Minister for Communications and Information Technology Dr. Bikram Timilsina and Minister for Physical Infrastructure Sunil Lamsal had reached Bidur, Nuwakot yesterday to get information about the flood situation. The Cabinet meeting was held today after a site visit to the affected areas.
