The government has given top priority to the expansion of the digital economy and revenue leakage control in the policy and program of 2083/84. 'All economic transactions will be brought under the digital platform, formalizing a cashless, transparent and revenue leakage-free economy,' said President Paudel. To stop irregularities in foreign trade, the under-invoicing at customs points will be strictly controlled, as stated by President Paudel. The system of refunding all types of taxes, including value added tax (VAT), will be made automated and time-bound to facilitate taxpayers, as mentioned in the policy.
